Elizabeth Talbot is a resident of Kirkley, where she has lived for 14 years. She is recognisable to many as a qualified Auctioneer and Valuer, a BBC antiques expert, writer and radio broadcaster. She is an enthusiastic exponent of heritage appreciation and has an ever-growing passion for Lowestoft, past and present. She is President of Lowestoft Archaeological & Local History Society and presides over the annual Lowestoft Porcelain auction held in the town. 

“The installation of a statue of Benjamin Britten as a boy will be a tangible, long-lasting celebration of the formative years of a famous son of the town. This project perfectly embodies the spirit of living heritage, whereby the present honours the past which in turn influences the future. The statue will stand as an inspiration to others, especially the young.  This is so exciting!”
