Community Connector

Matt is a Community Development Worker at Community Action Suffolk supporting the Kirkley People’s Forum to deliver the Local Conversation Programme in the Kirkley ward which is funded by the People’s Health Trust. He has been a resident of Kirkley for 20 years and is passionate about helping people to improve their own lives and bringing them together to have a meaningful influence on their community.

“I worked at Benjamin Britten’s birthplace on Kirkley Cliff and feel privileged to have enjoyed the same view of the North Sea which Britten had from his childhood bedroom that influenced his later work. The statue will be a fitting tribute of his time in Kirkley.”
