Sir John Rutter will unveil Lowestoft’s Britten as a Boy statue on Monday 10th November. He sang for Britten on the iconic 1963 recording of the War Requiem and is now one of our best loved composers.
Groundworks are under way in preparation for the unveiling of a new statue that will honour a Suffolk town's most famous son.
LOWESTOFT JOURNAL
The statue of Britten as a Boy has been given unanimous approval by East Suffolk Council’s planning committee. Work can now begin to install in on Lowestoft seafront.
